Dr. Tara tarantino

Family Medicine

Tara Tarantino offers a holistic approach to patient care and preventive medicine. She became a physician because she wanted to build meaningful partnerships with her patients to improve and maintain their overall health and wellbeing. Welcoming patients and families from babies to seniors, her practice is built on compassion and trust; recognizing that wellness begins when you look beyond simply treating symptoms and care for the whole person.

In addition to Family Medicine, Dr. Tarantino also offers Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). OMT involves using the hands to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury; employing techniques that include stretching, gentle pressure (like massage), and resistance. These treatments can be used to ease pain, promote healing, decrease stress, and increase overall mobility. When appropriate, OMT can complement—and sometimes replace—drugs or surgery.

Tara Tarantino obtained her medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship at Lutheran Medical Center and her residency at Saint John's Episcopal Hospital.

Dr. Tarantino is board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
